Knick knacks with stories and upstairs surprises

Breakfasts with craisins and bananas galore

These are a few of my favorite things

Buckets of petals and blossoms of flowers

Sandy white castles and pretend tool powers

Kids who are sick and yet loved and adored

Rugs washed with hoses and music down under

Date trips unplanned and storms with some thunder

Knives that are lined up in perfect straight lines

These are a few of my favorite things

When the kids puke

When the kids scream

When we’re feeling mad

I simply remember my favorite things

And then I don’t feel so bad!

Small simple spices and decks safe for playing

Big open windows and basements for staying

A bubbly fountain that trickles all day

Perky “good mornings” and tender “good nighties”

Welcoming hugs and playing just rightly

Tool shows at any time, person, or place

These are a few of my favorite things

Talks that encourage and meals full of laughter

Kind helping hands and grandkids looked after

In-laws who are the most generous saints

When we move there

When we all cry
